What happens during a consultation ?
During our consultation (which can be remote or in person) we will look at the space, discuss the problem areas, create a plan of attack and schedule a session to get started. I’ll answer any lingering questions you may have and this will also give me a better idea of how long a project might take.
How long will my project take?
This is the hardest question to answer for any project. Is it a mountain of important paperwork or a room full of items to donate? Do you feel ready to make decisions quickly and confidently? After our consultation, I’ll have a good estimate of how long a project will take but sometimes there are surprises in a space that slow us down. I will do my best to work efficiently with you and get each project done in a timely manner.
Do I need to be there?
Not always! I really prioritize purging items when organizing. The less you have, the easier it is to maintain. For projects that require purging items, you will need to be there for at least part of the session to make those decisions. If you have a project that simply needs organizing and doesn’t require decision making then I can tackle it myself.
What is your process?
The short answer is, it changes! After our consultation I’ll know how to tackle your project specific to your needs. Normally I like to remove every item from a space and start with a blank slate. This doesn’t work for each project (think, a totally full garage) or every person, therefore I’ll adjust the process so you are never feeling overwhelmed. Part of getting organized might also mean shopping for some new systems (ie. bins, baskets, filing cabinets etc.). This is a service that I offer and will be discussed during our consultation.
What happens to my donations?
For a small fee of $15 I will load up my personal vehicle with your donations and take them to a donation center of your choice (location dependent).
How does payment work?
Payment occurs at the end of each session. I accept cash, check, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes! Refer me to a friend or neighbor who schedules a consultation and receive $15 off your next session. Review me on Google after our session and receive $10 off your next session.
